Following on from the fantastic news that the sport premium is continuing throughout the 2020/21 academic year, now is the perfect opportunity to reflect on what has worked well for you and your school over previous years and look forward to creating a meaningful and sustainable PE and School Sport for your pupils as they return to school following on from a period of large inactivity.
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, our team at Planet Education have been privileged to support our PE partner schools across Hampshire, Surrey, Dorset and Berkshire by providing socially distance physical education and active maths lessons for Key Workers, Vulnerable children and the Year R, 1 & 6 bubbles. Through this experience, our team have been able to go through infection control training, COVID-safe training and adapted planning to meet the needs of the new environment we find ourselves in. This unique experience has enabled us to “get ahead of the curve” and design policies and procedures which have already been implemented enabling us to enter the new academic year with the knowledge that our team of sports educators are ready for the new norm.
All our team at Planet Education are looking forward to entering our 26th year of Primary School PE provision. With new programmes such as Physical Active Learning Programmes, First Aid for children programmes, Extra-curricular activities and Teacher CPD programmes, along with our existing Curricular time coaching programmes, it is sure to be another exciting year.
